Human Resource Generalist
Tempstar Staffing is currently recruiting for a Human Resource Generalist for a client in Exton, PA. Salary range for this position is $45k-$50k.
Education and/or experience required:
Bachelor Degree or related work experience
1-3 years Human Resource experience
PHR certification preferred
Essential job duties and
Responsibilities:
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs, and serves as a facilitator to company personnel
Handles employee relations, including reconciliation or differences, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action
Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors succession program, writes and places job descriptions and advertisements, completes background checks, post-offer drug screenings, and works with external recruiters and agencies
Maintains employment records and provides initial data gathering and ensures validity of information for Affirmative Action Plan and EEOC compliance
Participates in staff meetings, developing department goals, objectives, and systems
Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, employee maintenance, reconciling invoices and communicating benefit information to employees
Maintains and updates internal Human Resource Information System records
Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
Coaches managers and supervisors in all phases of corrective performance counseling
Coordinates company recognition and social activities to boost and enhance employee morale
Processes unemployment claims; represents company at unemployment hearings if necessary
Assists with open enrollment process, employees with benefits questions, service award program
Administers Worker's Compensation claims, FMLA, STD and other leaves of absences
Assists in implementation of Human Resources Policies and Procedures
Supports the Manager of Human Resources and completes special projects as needed.
Performs other related duties, as required and assigned
Ability to use computer systems and software applicable to this function, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS knowledge
