Assistant Teacher
Do you love kids? Then join our dedicated Childcare Staff at our beautiful Childcare facility at the Lionville Community YMCA. Under the direction of the Senior Program Director for Youth Development and the Lead Teacher, the successful candidate will assist in providing safe, high quality childcare to each child in his/her class, contributing to a safe, nurturing environment and high quality program.
Assist with the implementation of developmentally appropriate lesson plans for assigned class or group. Assist with specifically assigned duties - snack, clean-up, lunch, diapering (according to YMCA policies). Monitor group activities such as bathrooming, dressing for outdoors, swimming, circle time or arts and crafts.
The current opening is for Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-1:00 PM
Qualificatons:
15 college credits in education, nursing, social work, psychology or Human Services or related field plus one year (1250 hours) experience; or, 2 years' experience (2500 hours).
Must have ability to interact positively with children and communicate professionally with parents. Successful candidate must be a team player, able to work with others to achieve a common goal.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
