School Age Childcare-Assistant Teacher

Help give the school-age kids a great start or conclusion to their school day! Lionville Community YMCA's School Age Child Care Program wants a dedicated, enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to provide before and/or after school care at the Lionville Community Y site. You can make a difference! Under the direction of the Senior Program Director for Youth Development, the successful candidate will assist in providing safe, high quality care to each child in his/her class, contributing to a safe, nurturing environment and high quality program. Duties consist of dispensing snacks, facilitating with gym & playground games as well as helping with homework.
Work Monday through Friday, morning and afternoon shifts available. Candidate should have flexibility to work longer hours when the Downingtown schools are closed.
Must be 18 years of age or older, HS Diploma or GED;
15 college credits in education, nursing, social work, psychology or Human Services or related field plus one year (1250 hours) experience;
or, 2 years' experience (2500 hours).
Must have ability to interact positively with children and communicate professionally with parents.
Successful candidate must be a team player, able to work with others to achieve a common goal.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
