Main Duties and Responsibilities
Executes a continuum of business development functions to expand and further develop the co's healthcare portfolio.
Combines technical knowledge and business acumen to support the co's entities in the development and execution of business and partnership strategies.
Supports business development functions utilizing market research, competitive intelligence, strategic business plans, marketing plans, engagement and capture plans, intellectual property management and deployment, sponsor interface, proposal development, and negotiation of technology partnership agreements.
Play a key role in the team responsible for multiple aspects of business development activities: strategy and market analysis, competitive analysis, definition of value proposition, trends and knowledge in healthcare power distribution / monitoring segment.
Develop and maintain a well-rounded (outside-in and inside-out) perspective on various aspects of emerging markets.
Elevate and enhance the co's visibility within these emerging markets and trends.
Identify opportunities for the company to provide sustainable competitive differentiation within the segment.
Define end-to-end segment specific solutions including critical benchmark and success metrics. Work closely with cross-functional departments & REP network to execute and bring those solutions to market.
Accelerate company growth through new segment partnerships and manage those relations.
Requirements and Skills
3-5 years experience in sales, strategy or business development role at a firm providing technical equipment (non-commodity) into the healthcare segment (Hospitals, Ambulatory Surgery Center, etc.).
4-year engineering degree from accredited university (4-year business degree + additional experience in a technical field may be considered)
Excellent communication and influence skills to work with senior executives across various functions and geographies
Strong presentation skills
Must be highly efficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Experience selling to Healthcare Group Purchasing Organizations is a plus
Knowledge of networking & building communication protocols including Modbus RTU, TCP/IP is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
